The small adventures

Here is just another example for how life with a 1 year old is full of little adventures. Tonight we had to stop by the grocery story to pick up a few things. Jaiden, always the little helper, wanted to carry the basket so here you go. And when the basket got too heavy, he just pushed it. Grocery shopping takes a bit longer this we but we both have a good time.

Our day at work...

Most of the time, when we are at work, Jaiden usually get his run of the shop. Yesterday, we had spaghetti for lunch and usually when he eats spaghetti, he eats in the nude. :O (It just makes for easier cleanup.)When he was done eating, he wasn't quite ready to put his shirt back on but he did think that the shop was a bit dirty so he started cleaning. It was just the cutest thing to see him pushing the swiffer around the shop topless so I grabbed the only camera I had, my cell phone. I guess it's a good thing that someone at the shop cleans up.

The "spend the night party..."

So, Jaiden's latest adventure didn't involve either of his mothers. Last Wednesday, Jaiden had a spend the night party at Aunt Terri's house. Terri is a client and good friend of ours who's youngest daughter just moved out to go to college. She decided that she wanted another baby in the house so she promptly told me and Anna that we needed a date. In our quest to always try something new, Anna and I decided we were going to go to Medieval Times. (I know it sounds corny but we had a great time but back to Jaiden...) Jaiden spent the evening visiting friends. He was so busy that he didn't even have time for a bath before he fell asleep. And of course, he slept thought the whole night which he has only do for me 3 times... Go figure. Anyways, we all had a great time. I got to remember what life was like BC and realized that I would never what to go back to that life. I enjoyed the break but I love my son.

Our weekend fun

I just wanted to share a bit of our weekend fun. Yesterday (sunday), we went to a local waterpark called Whitewater. We were able to go with a bunch of friends. We all had a blast and we didn't get too burnt. Of course Jaiden made a few new friends. The little girl is Gracy Ann. She is 2 and Jaiden is now officially her "Bubby". Aunt Martina went with us too and really enjoyed all of the baby time. I don't know if you can see the big smile on Jaiden's face in the wave pool. I don't know which one of them was having more fun.

the fireman towel

So lately, Jaiden has taken to Running out of the bathroom after his bath with just his hoodie towel on. This past weekend, he decided that he wanted to go downstairs and eat (more) breakfast at his new table in just his towel. I'm sure we inherited this particular towel from Aunt Cathy but as usual, he was just a doll... So as I was taking pictures, he came running up to me and squatted down. I thought he was just posing until I looked back at the pictures and saw what he was really doing. :) We finally did manage to make it upstairs to get dressed.

Spagetti and Yogurt

Monday night we had spagetti for dinner. Of course kids and spagetti always make for an intresting combo so I had to break out the camera. I hope you have as much fun looking at the pictures as we had making them...

I new adventure...

So I've heard that imitation is the highest for of flattery so... this seems to be working well for my step-sister so I thought we would try it too. Not too much is going on here. The ac finally got fixed in my office today so Jaiden and I are much better. Other than that, it's just HOT. I think that's the case most everywhere but... We are all enjoying the new car (an 07 Nissan Quest.) It's a minivan but one that Anna will actually be seen in... Well, that's all for now. I'll try to post some pictures later...
